Pros & Cons
Pros
Programming is easy, up to seven programs for on and off. Programming prompts make it easy to set. The setup instructions are slightly more complicated than the others.
The lowes ones (utilitech branded) are about the same as these. These are my first choice and are actually the cheapest of the three. Great energy saver.
The honeywell timer switch is similar to the switches i could find in the big box stores. Fits right in my cluster of light switches in the hallway and does not look out of place. Matching switch plate cover from home depot.
Use it to control exterior lighting. Set to turn on cfl porch lights at dark and off around bedtime. Also have motion sensor wall switches for kitchen, hall and attic lighting. Works with incandescent, cfl and led lights.
Very easy to reprogram for daylight savings time. It is a little spendy but it is a product that you kind of set and forget. The battery backupis great since we had several power outages.
Cons
Honeywell seems to be a pretty reputable name, however this switch is a disappointment.
Highlights
Quality
Programming was pretty easy with the instructions on hand and it does what it's supposed to do.
With the timer and three wire connections expect a very full switch box.
Competitiveness
Nice timer - wish it had a light-up display feature.
Tried to switch to 2 60w bulbs and the fixture won’t turn on.
