At best i was able to figure it would cost no less than $200 and my quest for a updated thermostat that required no “c” wire began.
I prefer the old honeywell tstat that has been discontinued but for the money this works good enough.

Could be the old unit is off or the honeywell, i did not check beyond the comparison of the two.
On certain heat pump units like mine (rheem) reversing valve operation is opposite most other brands.
