Pros

This thermostat is programmable and works with baseboard heat. Moves from cooling to heating without input. One minor annoyance is the temperature calibration is off by -3 degrees. It is nice that we can see what the temp is set at and what is the act... Read More

Take out old unit, plug in old unit. Change and program settings. Now it is automatic. I could never go back to a thermostat without auto-switch.

Cons

If a comfortable 72 degrees is desired the set point must be 68 degrees. Unless you're a hvac contractor, the tech won't discuss the pro models. Go to the big box store and buy the equivalent.

So far it works great with the goodman variable speed hot air furnace.

This model works with a heat pump with the emergency heat options.

This was always a problem with the old designs.

So make sure when you are taking the old unit off, you mark the terminal with the color wire that goes with it.

This is what i needed and it is working great, also the price good!

We already have one of these programmable thermostats upstairs and we love it so it was a no-brainer to put the same kind downstairs.
