Pros & Cons
Pros
The honeywell honeywell thermostat has a built-in humidifier and de-humidifier. It can be used to control the temperature of your house remotely. The manual explains how to set schedules for the hvac.
The thermostat provides a nice touchscreen interface and can be programmed for multiple modes. The level of control this thing offers is extensive so you can customize the experience quite a lot.
The hub acts as a controller for the devices connected to it. Battery level is displayed in hub app. Hubcommunicates with other z-wave devices through scripts and can send notifications.
It's more compact than the usual rectangle types, and looks a lot nicer too. The logo is quite understated, and doesn't offend me at all.
Cons
Originally wanted to return it as there was a black mark across the faceplate. The problem is it integrates but the security panel does not reliably control the thermostat. Honeywell makes hunks of junk.
Highlights
Quality
Works great with home assistant and is z-wave+ and secure.
Very easy to install and pair with the hub.
Been in place a few weeks now and it has been rock solid.
Take all the features this thermostat has and make something that looks like the abandoned glas thermostat by johnson controls.
Price
Do that and i'll pay $500 for it :)
It may seem expensive for a basic looking thermostat, but the connectivity makes it among the cheaper of its kind.
Packaging/appearance
It's a very bland looking white plastic box that would not look out of place in 1998.
Unit arrived and has a contractors insignia screen printed on it so obviously this unit was a leftover being sold by a contractor.
While the box was slightly dinged, it was clearly still sealed, and the device was new.
Just got a second unit, the outside box was in pretty bad shape, and i hope the unit inside is ok.
Competitiveness
Keep in mind new version th6320zw2007 is sold by some merchants under the same sku as th6320zw2003.
New version th6320zw2007 works much better than th6320zw2003 (i had a chance to test both and i have returned th6320zw2003):- t... Read More
The very similar t5 at least has a decent looking display.
