There's a handful of 3rd parties that produce filters so it doesn't have to be oem. Buy the cut to fit honeywell carbon filter tho, no substitute. Have 0 complaints about the filtration quality.

It meets my expectations. Love them. Overall very satisfied.

On the lowest setting, it's barely noticeable. The highest setting is loud. It is noisy at lower speeds and is ridiculously noisy at turbo speed. You have to press/tap it several times sometimes to get it to work.

The hpa300c has nauseating chemical smell that doesn't go away. After a week, the odor isn't as strong, but it's still there. The plastic used on the purifier smells quite unpleasant.
