Originally thought id use a photoelectric switch to sense when it got dark and light but the electrician quoted 900 to do that installation and needed to put conduit through the outside wall to install the sensor outside

Instead i bought this switch for 30 and it cost 150 to have the electrician install since he had to install a modern junction box to replace the fixture the old timer was connected to
