This does what its supposed to but i was under the impression i could use certain features without paying a monitoring service such as using the honeywell total connect app that allows remote control and notifications from this panel

You cannot use total connect without a monitoring service likewise you obviously cannot use the gsm or cellular without monitoring services if total connect doesnt work in order for you to get the notices directly
