I am very happy with the product.
This replacement part has a metal cap that comes into contact with the internal water portion of the tank.
I have the bradford white model mi5036fbn, and this honeywell valve was what originally came with the tank.

Super easy except what ever moron did the piping to begin with clearly didn’t know what they was doing never less my husband got everything loosened for me and i replaced the control ♥️ who ever says u need a professional isnt always true just be smart n make sure u do ur homework prior or u may just blow ur house up

My pilot light would stay lit but burner kept shutting down i would have to reset the gas valve to get the burner going again it would heat up a fair amount but would not stay on long enough to get a full tank of hot water

Upon replacing i saw my temperature sensor what plastic and had a crack the new gad valve temp sensor feels like metal

Reinstall burner assembly connect wiring site glass cover and gas line piping

Turn gas back on and ignite pilot and burner you may experience water dripping and sizzling on burner i experienced this and it was just condensation build up from the cold water filling tank the dripping and sizzling went away after 15 minutes

This part is a perfect fit for my bradford white mi5036fbn gas water heater and aside from the metal thermostat vs plastic it was the exact same as my old model
