It's no different from regular old corn starch (i. E. Pectin) it does clump, it settles to the bottom of the liquid and does all the annoying things that you would expect from corn starch. Very expensive corn starch.
Thank you for endangering my life, hoosier hill farm. It's a bait and switch. And, of course, they refuse to take their worthless product back.

To i got a new batch of clear gell and it works everytime.
I tried several times to make cherry pie filling and it would not thicken.
Never use this before now my pies and canning came out great.
I really like using the clear gel for my pie fillings, but i do find myself using a bit less than some of my canning recipes call for.
