After trying a handful of brands and types ive come to two conclusions 1 the popcorn matters and 2 there isnt necessarily any single best brandvariety

Its basically a smaller and more delicate version of normal white popcorn

It is purple when in the kernel form but that color is virtually gone when popped only the kernel portion that recedes back when popped remains purple while the exposed flesh of the popped corn is white

One time i had a dozen unpopped kernels and it was an omg something went really wrong moment whereas having only a dozen unpopped kernels is probably par for the course with storebought brandsvarieties
