Out of the box the feeling and quality is great!
It takes a little getting used to with the weight/ slightly moved left joystick/ l+r buttons being shallow.
Some parts are interchangeable with the old nintendo version.
Got this last christmas along with the pdp yoshi one.

Competitiveness
I've been using it for multiple wiiu games even though i initially got it for super smash bros.
I'd use it as one of my alternatives but would not depend on it in a real competition for games like smash bros.

The biggest problem which is very annoying is that the controller stick will rebound very often when you flick it in any direction without carefully resetting to neutral

It also to connect to a wii remote to be used and therefore it has a wireless connection so if that is a problem then you may not be able to use this

I noticed no latency which was about the only concern i had to begin with because come on thats the last thing you want while playing smash bros
