Pros
The d-pad is smooth and registers the inputs very well.
The 6 * in the front increases the options by a ton, specially the vs activations. The button mapping is also a game changer once you learn how to work it, as the default layout isn't the most intuitive. The face * are sized well.
Cons
The shape of the pad is poor because i am unable to comfortably press l1 and r1 with my index fingers. This thing has trouble pairing sometimes and lags.
The shoulder * have inconsistent resistances when i push the *, as if someone had already been mashing on certain ones for a long time already. This controller is over hyped. Mushy, unresponsive * and weak signal strength combine to give you the ultim... Read More

I got it because the dpad on another controller i use sucks for fighting games.

But the price makes it worth it.
Packaging/appearance
So, overall, it offers an improvement over most d-pads, including the one on the ds4.
There is a toggle switch to switch the d-pad to the left or right stick.
I'd also heard the d-pad was stiff.

Having a webbed d-pad helps sometimes, but this is personal preference.
I do well on a ps4 controller, but not even close to the first one.

Simple enough when setting up it can auto fire continuously without button pressing which is a weird feature to have i guess unless you are playing some mobile game that requires auto clicking

If you are going to play specific fighting games that require timing like street fighter and mortal kombat you wont want to use the turbo because it can mess up your time sensitive inputs to do your combos
