This is not a tool like a heat gun or electric drill that you turn on and off each time you use it

Theres a little swingdown clip intended to support the tip up off the table while you let it cool but the little gun is so lightweight the power cord usually pulls it over anyway

After the clip got in my way a few times during use i took it off and now i slip a short length of scrap 78 tubing over the hot tip and place it back in the hot glue gun drawer to cool

The glue melts nicely and wasnt too loose as glue can get when heated on very high temperatures

Not sure why some things dont seem to adhere to the glue

This should prevent the cord from tipping the glue gun over when it’s resting on the stand
