Pros & Cons
Pros
When removing the old igniter, tie a piece of string or thin wire to the electrical connector end. The wiring is easy to unclip and feed the same way it came out. Some disassembly required to install.
Fit a camp chef fg * perfectly. Bought for my pitboss brunswick.
Cons
Not easy to install in a pit boss. Lasted for less than 60 days before burning out. Only used the grill about 5 times.
Highlights
Quality
Easy install, and convenient that it included a fuse.
Works great so far, install does require complete disassembly.
Original igniter lasted me 2 years of regular use, then one day, no ignition.
The wiring is easy to unclip and feed the same way it came out.
Price
The price is good and it works!
At about a third of the price of what the manufacturer was asking for replacement .
Not an expensive part but you should expect better updated after changing it a few more times i found out what i was doing wrong .
Packaging/appearance
I opened the fire box and adjusted the element a bit in, and then the third time was a success.
Competitiveness
Works great, pitt boss is good as new.
Bought because i’m a cheap a** and didn’t want to buy one directly from pitboss.
