The loop operates at quite a high speed and the first few runs resulted in the car flying off the track but then it seemed to settle-in and just ran continuously until i switched the battery compartment off. The set requires four d batteries (not incl... Read More

Tracks / loop pieces are very chunky, not very flexible, and seem built to last. Plastic seems stiffer than the earlier days. It is extremely durable/sturdy.

The components snap together and working at a leisurely pace it took approximately 15 minutes to assemble. A small cross-head (phillips) screwdriver is needed to open the battery compartment.

This racetrack is huge. It flings the card really quickly around the loop. This was discreetly packaged in a brown box.

Cons

Disappointed in hot wheels. Within a half hour it still makes tons of noise but none of the cars will go all the way around anymore. That, combined with the fact that so few of our cars work on it in the first place makes it a giant dud.
