Im going to go out on a limb and suggest that they could possibly have wax on the wood which is inhibiting this polish from penetrating seeing as her complaints are symptomatic of such circumstances

If you find it is beading up as one reviewer said i would guess you have used a wax type product on your furniture before

Although the instructions state to spray the product on a cloth i was cleaning an antique carved chinese chest with deep grooves which made it impossible
