When i bought it it appeared to have been a relatively recent addition to amazon and that i was one of the first to buy it because the number of units available had not changed for some time before i bought it and did not change until after i had bought it

I presume that was a comeon price by the supplier to get some early sales and possible reviews because not long after i bought it the price increased twice
