Pros

For 1-4 page faxing, this works great. Uses hp cartridge ink (no toner) and ink seems to last a long time. Have had no problems faxing or receiving faxes.

Very pleased with product, delivery, packaging. Shows the frame of mind the shipper was in.

It is compact and fits in a cubbyhole in my computer hutch. Works well for a home fax machine.

Cons

Hp selling an ink cartridge with a milligram of ink for $30 is theft. At $5 per received fax, even $5 is pricey. The ink cartridge on this printer runs out so quickly because it's a one-use ink cartridge.

Would never recommend purchasing a tech item from amazon. Omg- the whole thing is not worth the $69 i paid for this miswired piece of junk!

The item claims to work with tam but does not. It just gives a clicking sound. Now the second one makes the same noise and won't print, and i have to go thru the whole ordeal again. This fax also allows misguided spam calls to ring constantly until it... Read More

Price

Just needed a basic fax and i received a first class product at a great price.

This machine shouldn't cost more than $150 at the high end, and $100 would be about an average price.

Received a rebate for the cost of this one from hp.

The ink cartridges for this are pricey but worthit.

Shipping

It came new as posted on amazon and was a very quick set up.

Shipping was late but the product works great

Packaging/appearance

Very pleased except when i received the machine it was all stuffed in a box.

If you are looking for a smaller fax/copier bundle give this item a double look!

I recommend this brand over some others i have used.

I bought this fax machine to replace a hp1040 fax machine, as the hp1040 was recalled (see my review for the hp 1040 fax).

I had a very difficult time understanding the "overseas" help that so many companies use today.
