Pros
Retired chiropractor who is not a technical person. Auto document feeder and the scanner/copy functions work great as well. They have a lot of awesome free printables for families.
It’s a money saver. It was straightforward to set up. It replaces an hp envy 5000 printer that suddenly decided to go on permanent vacation.
It's 1/4 of a mile, and though it had been plowed that morning it was still snowy. All i can say is easy peasy. Not just easy, but actually intelligent.
On the lower front right side of the printer there are 5 touch sensitive *. These * include an information button, a cancel job button, and a resume job button. All other printer functions are accessed via the hp smart app.
Cons
The printer regularly gets 'lost' on the network and i have to re-connect to it. It's also a pain to reconnect the printer each time because the button for refreshing/restarting everything is all the way in the back.
If you cancel the ink subscription service, it renders the cartridges sent to you useless. The hp app is trash - takes way too long to respond. This superfluous third party app that they make you download and use is worthless, frustrating and unnecess... Read More

Printer quality is fine for what it is, as well as speed.
But you should be aware of the app.

Setting up the old officejet was ok ad were other hp setups in the past.

I went back and bought a more expensive printer, the 7900 series.

One thing i have noticed is the print quality its not terrible but its no printer at the university like business printer

The free ink deal comes with special cartridges and both must be in place before the printer will work

The color cartridge was damaged so i bought regular ones and put them in place so i could use my new printer
