Screen clarity is just fine. Colors are fine.
Cons
The screen freezes constantly. There is a known problem with the trackpad freezing, and hp is not standing behind their product. Just a fyi, the keyboard cursor on this also jumps so much its not funny.

Quality
I am completely blown away by the quality of this laptop and its stunning display combined with the excellent audio.
I've only had it less than a week, but i am very pleased with it.
The speakers are amazing, the screen resolution is ok with lower nits you dont get a very good screen quality.
All in all performance,build quality is great if the screen res and bezel doesnt affect you.
Shipping
The laptop came in a nice secure hp box so it wasn't rattling around in the amazon box during shipping.
Competitiveness
Even though i enjoy my new hp x360 touchscreen laptop, i still like using my old hp laptop.
I have a hp desktop touchscreen computer.

It was easy to set up as it walked you through everything it is touch screen has cortana basically alexa on your computer

I have to mention the thick hp bezel at the bottom which is a bit annoying had no idea that this model was a costco special release

Update within 2 months of owning this computer two of the keys came off
