This printer hp 8740 worked perfectly right out of the box.
Competitiveness
We have a few hp officejet 8710 which work great too but hp changes models very quickly.
Best hp officejet pro i've had to date.
Each one lasted less the its predecessor.

Hp did an exchange for our old printer under warranty and they shipped us the hp 9015 as a replacement

In my opinion hp would be serving its customers to a greater benefit by offering a new model that is comparable in quality to the older 8740 printer

The unfortunate fact is the hp 8740 is no longer manufactured by hp but we were able to find it from this seller on amazon
