Pros

Whether it's black and white or color, it's noticeably faster than my old printer. That rant over, this is to replace our old hp8600 officejet. Purchased 2 epson's.

The fact that it looks modern and sleek is a bonus! It’s a very good looking and compact unit. The quality is good but you will likely get better results for photo printing on a model geared more towards that purpose.

The hp smart app allows you to quick connect to a computer, network drive, etc.

Scanning photos, scanning & creating pdf. Searchable documents, and quality photo printing were my top requirements. It has two drawers and each holds (i think) a whole ream of paper.

Cons

I doubt they were authentic hp cartridges. You have to change all of the cartridges or the printer will no longer work. Except for ren, they are basically no help at all.

Free ink program is a scam. It only allows ink with their chips. They try to push you into a subscription program. Hp now refuses to refund my purchase.

Quality

This model seems to have the quality and print speed i was hoping for.

It prints quickly, set up is easy, wifi connection is stable, and paper loads with no problems.

One star lost for design issues:paper trays should be in other order.

Power the bad boy on and i'm immediately presented with an error that my print head is bad or not installed correctly.

Price

This is an excellent value for the money especially if you have a small business or you are always printing things.

I love this printer and for the price it is awesome.

I sign up for the instant ink at $4.

Basic printers that cost less just did not appeal to me.
