Hp lives up to its reputation and adds a bunch of software that you dont need when installing the printer for the first time if you have a mac no set up required

I was forced to purchase a new networkenabled printer because my previous printer was hooked up to computer that i upgraded to windows 7 and i was unable to get the other computers in the house xpbased to print to it anymore

It was fairly quick and easy to attach to my network but getting each individual computer to then add it required me to use the install disk that came with the printer there is no network discovery of this printer from the computers themselves without using the setup disk

The install disk only gives you one install option for everything you cant do a custom install and only install the softwaredrivers you need or want

Its a ridiculous waste of time and resources to have all of this garbage install and then have to go back and uninstall almost all of it
