Pros

Plenty of usb ports to connect external drive, phone cable, etc. Appears to be genuine hp usb-c dock.

It works on both computers - one via usb-c and the other with the usb-a add-on. If you have devices with different specs (thunderbolt and non thunderbolt) and you want multiple displays, it is your choice.

Cons

The hp port adaptor is a fail. The laptop would shut down and restart every 2nd or 3rd time i plugged it into this other adaptor. No warranty now. No information can be found on how to fix that issue and installing newest drivers etc.

Easy to disconnect to use laptop on its own with no loss of open windows and applications.

Easy setup for my hp spectre 360 and all the other bits that i have running off my laptop.

Happens with any outlet it’s plugged into and on multiple laptops (so not a laptop hardware issue).

Turns on when plugged in and then disconnects from computer- seems to lose power- after about 10 seconds or so.

Price

This dock is rated at 5gb/s through usb/c and if you try to use it while gaming, the input/output lag will will cost you the game.

It is expensive, but it is worth of the money.

Down side it is 2x more expensive than generic universal dock

Update - the seller contacted me and sent a replacement product which is working perfectly, i can now recommend this without hesitation.
