Pros

I5 intel cpu combined with ample ram is great for a home pc. Comes with mcafee, which i uninstalled, and easily installed the anti-virus software i'd been using on my old computer. Windows 7 lets you disable advertising if you know how to do it.

Cons

"it's now in garbage!

However is that download safe? I'm forced to use an external disk driver to boot.

As a life long pc customer, this is like crapping on your customers. There is nothing we can do without 4-7 windows popping up with services that require paid subscriptions. Never buy hp again.

I had actually bought the hp "envy" for $999 but it had windows 10.

I live on east coast and computer was shipped from texas.

I sent it back to hp's repair facility and the fixed in a very short period of time and returned it to me post paid.

Hp is my go to brand for all things pc , and printing.

Compaq presario is no longer sold so i purchased the hp pavilion 500-281, this computer is similiar to the compaq presario tower.

Windows 7 is better than windows 10.
