It's very difficult to successfully open the unit, remove the old glued-in battery and replace it with a sold connection to a blind socket. Lasted 5 months.

Resurrected an old gps, easy to replace and has continued to work well.

Remove 4 screws and use a small plastic prybar or guitar pick to snap open the case one snap at a time traveling around the screen.

Then flip up the screen not damaging the ribbon cord and unplug old battery and plug in new battery.

Now if i can only get this thing to stop losing satellite reception, it will still be mostly useless.

But this was a good fix even though the battery was $16, it gave me back power.
