Anyway, this replacement worked great and holds a charge much longer.

The screen says it is charging and the nuvi 3490 continues to work, but it keeps saying low battery.
Causing a short circuit that causes the battery to heat up a lot.
Price
I am much happier spending under $20 to replace a battery myself than to shell out close to $200!
