Pros
The keys and dial have a very professional feel and responsiveness to them. All the keys are programmable. The assignment/re-assignment of keys is easy. It comes with cute little stickers for you to put on your keys.
Wheel dial allows you to use it as a scroll wheel or you can set it to do different things whether you turn it clockwise or counterclockwise. This makes choosing palette colors not only easy but fun!
Huion's keydial uses the same software as their drawing tablets. Even when using photoshop, i keep it powered on to save time undoing, merging layers, etc.

My backup folder looks like this:23-06-08-huion-v. I believe the problem lies in the software. Shut down the setup software and try again.
Driver turns off the pen for my wacom 16 thereby rendering the tablet useless. Most of these shortcuts are easily done with finger gestures, rendering the remote obsolete.

Price
All in all, i'd definitely recommend it (at least when it's on sale for $40).
Bothered i paid full price for a used item.
I was a little leery buying this, not super cheap for the bt version, but i am really impressed.
Competitiveness
I have tried it in kanva, krita, sketchbook, and adobe sweets and the spin dial doesn't work.
Otherwise, i use it for more than just photoshop; i've configured controls for games and streaming.
It uses the same driver interface as the huion kamvas tablets.

Personally i like to use some longer text strings as shortcuts and this couldnt handle that
