Depth Sensing
Customers are highly impressed with the depth sensing capabilities of the Humminbird 410060-1 Fishin' Buddy MAX DI Fishfinder, allowing them to effectively fish in various water depths and observe bait movement on the screen. Some users have noted minor issues but overall express satisfaction with their purchase.
Highlights
Quality
Easy to setup, easy to use and very portable.
If you set the depth scale to automatic it works fantastic in places where the water depth changes rapidly.
The clip that holds the device isn't very strong and even in my kayak i can go too fast for it and the drag pops it out of the mount.
These things can kill a car battery after a solid day or two on the water, so aas won't last long.
Price
This unit is the best for the price.
The price is now about $20 cheaper than when i purchased it 3 weeks ago.
I little pricey but worth the cost if fishing is your hobby of choice no more blind fishing.

It does get thrown off in the flats on rough days when the waves are up which causes it to jump around a bit

One niggle is it doesnt remember that setting and you have to reset it to automatic every single time you turn it off and on
Posted by a reviewer on Amazon
This unit is bigger than it looks in pictures and the mount is quite bulky

I do not consider this an idea choice for a kayak because of the bulk
Posted by a reviewer on Amazon
The unit also does not lock into the mount

So if your kayak turns over your depth finder will end up on the bottom of the ocean
Posted by a reviewer on Amazon
A minor negative besides the size is the screen needs a nonglare cover
Posted by a reviewer on Amazon
Pointing the wrong direction its difficult to see the screen in daylight and nearly impossible to see the fish echoes
