I took the plunge and can say that eventually i was happy with the purchase.

Caveat : i’m using an iphone and connecting these fans to apple homekit, works like a charm.

So some of the reviews i agree with the app sucks but i didn't buy the fan to use the app; the alexa integration is awesome.

No aesthetically my style, but the price was great for a used product.

I would buy that one again but this one maybe not unless the price dropped substantially.

If you're replacing a recessed light or basic light fixture (as i was), you will need a suitable brace to go into the joists.

Competitiveness

Just used the pre-installed homekit app called home on your phone, and you'll be much happier.

You must allow homekit access when you re-do the app.

In a 12x12 guest bedroom it could still be a tad brighter.
