With homekit set up, i'm able to voice control the fan and light using siri, and it all works swimmingly. Can dim the light with any homekit app or with siri. Now for the app.
Fan has a uncluttered look. It has an interesting light dispersal.
Homekit integration is very good, and opens up a large range of options. The simpleconnect app isn't bad as most have said. At this point you need to know how to configure a new device in homekit.
Cons

Hunter is a horrible company and doesn't care about the customer. Tech support is a joke and their online support is just as bad. Can't find any good way to contact hunter support. Forget their rude and useless technical support.

The fan is great, the the communication with the app doesn't work.
Price
Sweetening the deal was a 20% couple that took off $56 from the price (haven't seen this appear again).
Packaging/appearance
If you're replacing a recessed light or basic light fixture (as i was), you will need a suitable brace to go into the joists.
Competitiveness
No conectivity drops so far and i can control fan and lights remotely.
After you've added the fan to homekit, you can re-connect your phone to the 5ghz network and carry on as before.
I had to turn off all my 5ghz wireless and use an old phone to get the app to go through the process of getting simpleconnect functional.
Since i use the apple home app for my homekit items, i don't use the hunter app at all.

Well i installed the fan and the instructions said you can in fact have 2 switches one for the light and one for the fan

Im about 99 sure it wont work with a dimmer didnt actually try it and turns out the fan switch actually has to be on in order for the light to toggle
