Pros

This receiver is the one to use to replace a nonworking receiver in a 5 series hunter remote operated fan. It is designed to work off of one power supply. This controller allows you to control the fan & light individually.


Cons

The remote control software is pretty poor. It is not compatible with google home or alexa and you can't control anything remotely, when out of bluetooth distance. Any wall switches will no longer work since the unit overrides those functions. The app...  Read More

This thing is so problematic that even hunter fans can't get it working. Sadly not refund available. Hunter products are horrible, imho.

Contacting hunter to try and figure out how to get them to work they basically just tell you to buy a new fan with wifi simpleconnect and offer no solution. It only works 20-30 feet from the fan, so no way to turn them on or off as you go to bed or le...  Read More

Works great and we are very pleased.

Installed in 5 minutes and paired easily with the remote by holding the 0 and 3 buttons together for a couple of seconds.

This doesn't seem to be compatible with the hunter app that runs on a cell phone but it worked fine with my remote.

We are using the plain old non-app remote control that came with the fan with no issues.

Price

It was easy to install and amazon's price was nearly 1/2 the price of what hunter fan was asking!

Shipping

The hunter website sells it for $34, probably need to add shipping to that.

Bought this for $24 on amazon with free shipping.

Competitiveness

So if your wife's phone is controlling things, you have to kink her off for your phone to connect & control things.

Hopefully this one will not die in less than a year.
