Unlike some other reviewers i found that the light can dim but it must be put in dimmer mode by holding down two remote buttons as indicated on a small instruction card

But i had a fan housing hole that was insufficiently tapped making it impossible to put in the appropriate screw and stripping it in the process

I was on the verge of requesting a replacement fan after being about an hour into the installation and another hour into trying to work this assembly problem

The “walnut” side of the blade we used i noticed there were no photos

It has a minor audible humm associated with larger fans but nothing too noisy

We lost a remote at the old house and were unable to turn on the fan without buying another remote kit and undoing the wiring and rewiring basically reinstalling the fan

Lastly the light is very bright and the hold to dim dimmer button doesnt work well
