Pros

This fan weighs a ton and really moves the air. They all run silently and wobble-free. Whisper quiet and guaranteed for life.

Hunter is a brand that i trust in this day and age where most ceiling fans are garbage. Absolutely sublime.

For the customer looking for the new 4 blades relacment fans, you simply buy the blades for the 5 blade fan and keep the 5th blade as a spare. Only issue is a little wobble which we may try to correct by changing the blade placement.

Cons

I understand the lure of buying a hunter original fan but beware that it’s chinese made. Dripped oil after 6 months…died after 14 months…chinese junk….

Use a high quality car wax caranuba mothers is good and wax the entire fan, pole, blades, body etc.

Looks almost the same as my other hunter original.

Competitiveness

I tried to replace the pull chain switch and the direction switch but could not find the correct parts even from hunter.

It is based on the original oil bath hunter design just a lot more expensive today.

The one pictured is from the 1980s (much older than i am) and still working better than about every other model i have seen.
