Pros

This is so good that i hide it from 1 of my sons. Was having difficulty finding sambal except for very expensive ones from speculators. Was very happy to see reasonably priced options again. This stuff is gold in a little plastic bottle.

Cons

The packaging is light in weight and costs less to ship. The overpriced chili paste came leaking. Nothing was mentioned about this in the listing.

Lids can be difficult to get down into the groove on a jar's top. One lid was completely off on * and leaked into the plastic wrapping.

Price

After i searched for it endlessly locally i knew amazon would have it, fair price love putting this on my asian cuisine.

Was very happy to see reasonably priced options again.

I haven't been able to find this at any stores near me for well over a year and the online prices were flat out extortion.

That the product was available at a fair price.

Shipping

Westerndeal (not amazon) quickly handled the problem and sent me a replacement.

I contacted the seller and the seller got back to me within 24 hours and is sending a replacement.

Packaging/appearance

Once i opened the carefully packed box - all fears alleviated.

I had an issue (no fault of the mfg - huy fong), where the package got damaged in transit.

Package arrived well-packed and ready to go

Competitiveness

This reflects on huy fong (the manufacturer) and also decreases the likelihood of me buying anything else from amazon.

Nothing else can replace huy fong brand.

By mistake, i bought another brand a few months ago, and it was bland and tasteless!

I substituted another brand i found it on amazon.
