Pros

This paste is great for burritos, thai dishes, and noodles. Use it plain or mix 50/50 with mayo and sour cream to make holy sauce.

Cons

The seal was completely off on * and it had leaked into the plastic wrapping. It's a fact of life that at least one of the two jars will have a broken lid.

The seller failed to mention that there was chili paste all over the package. The confusion is bad enough and that it seems deliberate, and of course food items cannot be returned.

This item is not returnable or exchangeable. There is no way to seek a refund for the damages item.

Price

After i searched for it endlessly locally i knew amazon would have it, fair price love putting this on my asian cuisine.

Was very happy to see reasonably priced options again.

I haven't been able to find this at any stores near me for well over a year and the online prices were flat out extortion.

That the product was available at a fair price.

Shipping

Very fast shipping, arrived before i expected it.

Very hard to find at my local suburban grocery store for a while now, but this vendor came through!

Westerndeal (not amazon) quickly handled the problem and sent me a replacement.

I contacted the seller and the seller got back to me within 24 hours and is sending a replacement.

Packaging/appearance

Once i opened the carefully packed box - all fears alleviated.

I had an issue (no fault of the mfg - huy fong), where the package got damaged in transit.

Package arrived well-packed and ready to go

Competitiveness

This reflects on huy fong (the manufacturer) and also decreases the likelihood of me buying anything else from amazon.

By mistake, i bought another brand a few months ago, and it was bland and tasteless!

Won't buy any other brand, ever again.
