Pros

It's a five minute job, and beats overpaying the profiteers who are marking up sambal and siracha to astronomical levels. The plastic jar changes the taste slightly, but it's noticable.

This is overpriced. The confusion is bad enough and that it seems deliberate. Maybe it's because the packaging is light in weight and costs less to ship.

Westerndeal (not amazon) quickly handled the problem and sent me a replacement.

Packaging/appearance

I had an issue (no fault of the mfg - huy fong), where the package got damaged in transit.

However, i ordered it and it came in great condition.

Competitiveness

Others may be similar but this is the best brand.

By mistake, i bought another brand a few months ago, and it was bland and tasteless!

Won't buy any other brand, ever again.

I use this all the time but 4 different grocery stores did not have it.
