I can run around doing things with the kids and still have hot coffee to come back to.
I'm sure with the lid on it would stay hot longer, but i usually don't have coffee sitting around that long anyways.
With the lid on, there’s no leaks, but the lid is hard to get off.
Keeps coffee hot for about 30 minutes w/o the lid, and roughly 2 hours with the lid.

It doesn't seem like it could have happened during shipping.
Packaging/appearance
Just an fyiif you choose to not use the heavy-duty plastic lid, the top rim of the mug is very thin.
The color is lovely and comes in a shiny exterior coating.

After using another hydrapeak product, i've became a fan of the company's products.
This 18-oz mug, which can accept both cold and hot liquids, is another win from the company.

The downside is that this lid is almost impossible to get back open easily without your drink sloshing
