The material is polyester and is water resistant.
My only ding is that the hose to the bladder doesn't detach and the material the bladder is made from is very thin plastic.

If you dont use the bladder then you have more space for storage but less space for water

The pocket in the backpack holds a banana and a couple sticks of clif blocks but is fairly small

Water does not remain as cool as it starts however at the end of a 6 hour ride it is still at a reasonable drinkable temperature

The entire 34light blue34 area of my pack is a pocket

Chest strap is not designed for the busty hiker but thankfully the strap is easy to remove
