Pros

It retains both cold and hot water. It does a miracle job at keeping ice for 3 days frozen. I have an entire cabinet of beverage bottles and none come even close to keeping beverages as cold or hot for as long as this one does.

Bought 2 in the 12 oz size for my husband and i. I’ve had the 64oz water bottle for 6+ yrs and carry it every day, every say! Even fits cup holders in my truck. This petite bottle is perfect when i don't want to carry the 40 oz bottle around.

Cons

It leaks through the seam/crack of the 2 components of the cap.

The two-piece top is designed to rotate to open and close the mouthpiece but the design also tends to leak where the two pieces mate. In addition the “twist” feature to open the sip spout is not good. I hope hydroflask revises their design.

A slow coffee drinker, i was looking forward to it keeping my drinks hot for at least 3-4 hours out of the 6 they advertise. Design flaw in the rubber gasket allows coffee to drip from the space between the top and the bottle.

Competitiveness

Obviously it works as it is supposed to work, because she wanted the same brand.

As many times as i’ve dropped and dented it any other brand would have lost the vacuum rendering it useless.

I prefer the 18oz which they no longer make, but this 16oz makes for a lighter carry and fits in all car cup holders.
