Pros & Cons

Update Pros and Cons

Pros

It's very quiet. Quieter than the bubbles from my sponge filter. Quieted down and began to flow perfectly. Seems generally quiet with rather decent power.

three suction cups stays intact on my vertical glass wall in my 10 gallon tank. none. Love the sound it makes like a little "babbling brook" in the aquarium. Two adapters give you an option of the type of current you want to create.

This pump does the job as advertised. Plenty of power and compact. This little gem is just the ticket.

Cons

Do not buy as replacement for the fountain pictured. Took out all the plants and shuffled gravel around. The suction is much too strong for small fountains buns even at the lowest flow rate.

Annoyingly loud. It starts gasping for water way before the minimum level marker.

Small size makes it not obtrusive. It's way too big to fit. The attatched 2 prong cord is too big. It also functions very erratically.

Quality

Perfect flow rate to keep macro algae moving and water circulated.

Makes water changes way easier since it sucks to lift a bucket up to refill the water (tank is on an elevated surface) also very quiet.

I have nano fish and cherry shrimp in it and wave makers were to strong.

The sound you hear in the video includes the use of 2 baffled filtersphotos are on the modification.

Price

The price is ridiculously low (please keep it that way…) and it is super quiet.

Some of those have ridiculous prices and they always seem to have issues with their fancy apps, etc.

If you use a timer with it you basically create a basic, inexpensive but effective mini wave maker…
