Pros & Cons
Pros
The menu-control (small, flat, joystick-like lever) on the back of the monitor allows for rapid switching between inputs. The pixel real-estate is nice when working on spreadsheets and docs. The low response time of 1ms provides a really responsive ex... Read More
It supports nvidia g-sync and has a 165hz refresh rate. The picture quality is great for fullhd (1920x1080). There are no delays or flickers as the monitor keeps up with the refresh.
This monitor is great. Highly recommend. They send a simple brochure with pictures and step-by-step instructions. I hope you’ve found the information and my review helpful.
Weighing 10. Lbs, the monitor feels much lighter than i'd expect. There's not a lick of styrofoam, but the way they utilize the space and its structural integrity feel top-notch. The mount is made of a heavy metal and is very sturdy.
Highlights
Quality
The picture quality is very nice, much better than my other monitor.
I was also surprised by the quality of the arm vesa mount that comes packaged with the monitor.
The renders they provide on the product page show a near-bezel-less monitor, which is not indicative of reality.
The quality of graphics is great and very little black light bleed.
Price
It's within its expected price bracket (if not a touch high).
It seems that any company that has a pinky in gaming is making their own gaming monitor, and hyperx isn't an exception.
Hyper-x offers a 27 monitor for about 50 bucks more (499 at the time of this review) that is 2560x1440 but a lower refresh rate (165hz).
Packaging/appearance
📺 hyperx's packaging engineers really went above and beyond for the packaging.
The overall monitor feels sturdy and heavy duty the packaging is great and came delivered with no damage.
I can barely tell the difference going from 1440p back to 1080p, but i see a noticeable difference going from 144hz to 240hz on the hyperx.
Competitiveness
It supports nvidia g-sync and has a 165hz refresh rate.
