Highlights
Quality
This great little mixer has just what you need to do quality work for podcasts, voice overs, and other professional sounding projects.
The weight is great and the panel layout is perfect.
An extra xlr input is the only thing that could really improve it.
Component quality: 7/10 the buttons are a little stiff as are the faders.
Price
I was looking for one and the price is great.

The noise floor is higher than the digital audio recorder with the same mics however the convenience of recording directly into a computer for something like a voice over is enormous

I found that with noise reduction i couldnt really tell the difference between the sources but it is always a little frustrating having to apply noise reduction when i wouldnt have to do so with a different workflow

Im guessing that either the mic preamp in this just isnt as good as the one found in the dr100 or there is some internal noise suppression going on in the recorder that is hidden from the user

The audio still sounds good on this but it does leave room for improvement at least over xlr from a mid range dynamic mic with no phantom power
