Pros
It's everything i wanted a semi-solid to be. The finish on the fretboard is excellent. It is 42 long because of where the 22nd fret hits the body. It's a bit smaller than a dot 335 and i think the size is perfect.

It was this way with the original black pickups and the replacements, so it might be a characteristic of the guitar body.
Packaging/appearance
Right out of the box the action and intonation were perfect.
Competitiveness
The guitar now sounds and plays nearly as good as my friend's gibson 335 for a tenth of the cost!

However after trying several epiphone gibson gretsch and ibanez models i found this used ibanez am73 semihollow body for a whole lot less

I installed a pair of gibson classic 57s from my friends busted les paul and they made all the difference

Turns out its smaller than the as73 the ibanez 335ish guitar and lighter
