Customers are highly satisfied with the easy playability of the Ibanez Artcore AS73 guitar, praising its low action and solid electronics right out of the box. Some customers have mentioned that it required minimal set up but were able to play it immediately. The guitar is also appreciated for its great sound quality and versatility, making it a popular choice among intermediate musicians and blues/jazz beginners.
Smooth Neck
The majority of customers praise the smooth neck of the Ibanez Artcore AS73, describing it as comfortable, easy to play, fast, well-balanced, and of high quality. Some users have noted that it may not be suitable for younger beginners due to its size but appreciate its qualities for jazz stylings and adjustable pots. A small number of customers have had issues with deep cracks and rough fret wires requiring extensive polishing.
Versatile Pickups
Customers have generally positive opinions about the versatile pickups of the Ibanez Artcore AS73 Tobacco Brown guitar. Some reviewers praise the pickups for their ability to produce great sounds for various genres, while others mention the need for eventual pickup replacement. Overall, customers find the sound to be a significant value at the lower price point compared to competitors.
Highlights
Quality
Fast neck, well balanced, extremely well made, and sounds fantastic.
It has a warm, rich sound, and the semi-hollow body makes it resonate really nicely.
Unfortunately the action is too high (easy fix) and the frets are incredibly gritty.
Turn the volume knobs beyond about 7 and the neck pickup goes to mush, while the bridge gets crackly.
Price
Much better than the cheap $60 guitar i was practicing on before.
Ibanez gives you a lot of guitar for short $$$.
For what i paid, expecting to get one is laughable.
Those other guitars were all in the neighborhood of $800.
Shipping
The guitar arrived quickly and is beautiful.
Packaging/appearance
Yes, it needs some tweaking on its set up but out of the box it was really close and it was playable.
Competitiveness
For me it beat out the comparable epiphone and sounds better than some higher end gretschs i played in store.
These guitars are quite the deal at a lower price than the competition and have a better sound.
For the money, there zero guitars that compete with the as73.
I compared my as73 to (mostly) gib.

The neck and frets are very smooth and the pickups do not feedback even at a very loud volume which is not the case with a lot of semihollow body guitars
