Pros

The quilted maple finish is superb and eye-catching. Good pickups, good electronics, great craftsmanship. My only gripe is the shipping time and the fact that amazon wouldn't honor the original shipping time in my cart.

The playability is smooth and effortless. It has a 3-position pickup selector switch, and you can switch them to single coils by pulling out the volume knob. Great deal, beautiful sunburst and nice sound. Alot of features at this price.

The fret board and frets are smooth and easy on the fingers. Fretwork is decent, minor rough edges i'll fix later. The strap * have large heads and will hold a strap good.

Cons

Even after treatment the fretboard is rough and noisy for bends. The tremolo knocks it out of tune every single time you use it. I have to give this one a gigantic thumbs down.

I can't possibly think you can buy a better guitar for 200 dollars today than the grx 70 ibanez!

The fretboard feels a little different than the more expensive gio and rg guitars but it is playable.

We started him out on the ibanez brand and all his guitars have to be the brand.
