Pros & Cons
Pros
Sounds amazing as a bass and as a baritone even with stop pickups it sounds awesome! The sound is good. It has good, usable basic tones too. This thing sounds badass.
Just needed some minor intonation adjustments and good to go. Still buzzes after adjusting action. I hope that over time they will loosen up.
New fender bass is much easier to play than a full scale bass. Comes with a mini amp, strap, and tuner.
Small size doesn't throw me off too much when i'm switching back and forth from guitar. Zero regrets in buying it, so much fun playing it.
Cons
The e string gets this awful harmonic buzz when played higher than the 3rd fret. The thing is a weird greenish color that resembles bird more than wood.
Highlights
Quality
This is great quality sounds good and feel awesome to play.
No issues with quality, finish and setup.
Low action, no need to adjust intonation, no dead strings.
No matter what i tried and adjusted the d string simply had a much lower output than the other 3 strings.
Price
You get a great bass for the $$$ so i highly recommend it for young beginners
A great little bass for the money for sure!
I pay $15 a month for not so great custo.
Obviously for the price point your not gonna get something perfect but this is about as close as you can get!
Shipping
It came so fast its exactly as its described i couldn't be happier.
My package arrived the next day without paying next day shipping, got lucky.
Packaging/appearance
(picture of my poly job on neck included that is not how yours will come!
I had to set it up out of box, but worth it.
Look, i'm not a bass player, i play guitar though an have always wanted to learn bass, so i bought the root beer brown ibanez.
Competitiveness
Compared to a few other brands, the mikro is light as a feather, offers just enough features, sounds great - and is just plain fun to play.
You must purchase d'adario half wound, or any other brand of flat wound strings.
My choice paid off nicely after reading multiple reviews in favor of the gio / mikro .
Action is good, it's extremely light and the pick ups sound good, similar to ibanez sound gear pick ups.
