Pros & Cons
Pros
The ibanez mikro is a low-price bass that is great for learning and practicing. The bass is a good size for abeginner or someone with small hands. The price of the bass helps it stay affordably priced.
The rosewood fretboard is classic and solid. The craftsmanship is good, even though i know it was cranked out in a foreign factory.
The only gripe i have with it is that the strings are rougher than any other round-wounds i’ve put my fingers on. The looser strings have more travel distance to sustain a note, allowing the vibration of the strings to * deeply into your hands and tor... Read More
The mikro buzzes like crazy at the first four frets, all strings. Instead of the standard 3-screw truss rod cover, it features a little door that flips to the side. It comes with the trus rod already adjusted so the frets arent so buzzy.
Cons
Received neither, only the guitar.
Highlights
Quality
The quality is excellent, no sharp frets, and action was pretty much perfect out of the box.
The quality is great especially for the price we paid.
I haven't had any sound quality issues, no weird reverb anywhere.
I learned that for how physically small my body is, i was always going to struggle with the fret board.
Price
Color and craftsmanship is well worth of the price.
For the price i maybe should've known.
Packaging/appearance
No dents or scratches out of the box.
Very well constructed and was playable right out of the box.
Side note: out of the box, the action was way off and the strings were rubbing on the frets.
I'd highly recommend this for beginners and bass curious types, as satisfaction is almost guaranteed, right out of the box.
Competitiveness
If you are looking for a low-price bass for yourself or a friend who is learning to play, and would benefit from a smaller form... Read More
Put on some flat wound strings, adjust your action, add a humbucker, still cheaper than a comparable bass that comes with those features.

Too many beginner instruments are toys and not of any actual quality

I love the feel of it because the lighter body and neck and perhaps the looser strings having more travel distance to sustain a note allows the vibration of the strings to penetrate deeply into your hands and torso

If i were the seller i would not be happy with those photos which leave you wondering about the bodys finish

In summation it baffles me how this instrument which has clearly had a ton of love poured into its design and quality control during assembly can sell new for under 200
