Pros & Cons
Pros
The ruan stands up to a large body, larger than a guitar. Will the guitar get tipped over if bumped? The stand is easy to use and fits into a guitar case or gig bag.
Small stand fits in your guitar gig bag with plenty of room for the essentials. I love the minimal space they occupy, and should i need to transport them they'd easily fit in a case. Both fit in my gig bag along with my cables and power cords.
Both the p and j bass fit in the cradle. From acoustics, baritone 6-string, even my 5-string bass. Can carry in bass case. Great for bass guitar.
This is the best i found in the sub $25 category. Affordable and works really well.
Cons
Caveat emptor. Don't waste you money on this worthless product.

Competitiveness
Granted, it’s not quite as stable as a full-size stand -but that would literally be impossible for such a compact unit.

Its one downside so far is that depending on where the output jack is on your guitar and how long the cable end is you might not be able to rest your guitar in the stand while its plugged in unless you get a 90 degree cable end
