This is just what the doctor ordered, nice fat and warm overdrive that works equally well with both humbucker and single coil guitars!
Best frequency amplification for sitting right in a band mix.
Remove d5 and run a direct wire in it's place on the boss sd-1 and you'll have symmetrical clipping just like this pedal.
I don't know if the design has changed over the years (probably), but it sounds great.
Price
As such, i think the price could be lower, but i think no pedal should be over 150 dollars.
If you are a fan this is the deal.
